Read the whole specification
Pressure, flow and input power describe different constraints. A machine can advertise high pressure yet be slow to rinse. Its connector standard, hose length and service network can affect the working day more than a small headline difference.
- Compare operating figures, not only maximum claims
- Confirm inlet requirements and whether a gravity-fed tank is supported
- Check available fittings before committing to reels, guns and hoses
Tank-fed does not mean automatically compatible
Some pumps need positive inlet pressure or a particular supply flow. Tank height, outlet size, filters and hose routing can change performance. Ask the manufacturer to confirm the exact supply arrangement in writing.
- Use a correctly sized, secured and vented tank
- Prevent pump starvation and trapped air
- Place filters where they can be inspected without dismantling the van
Plan for the real duty cycle
A mobile machine experiences repeated transport, vibration and outdoor work. Availability of parts, warranty terms and local repair support belong in the buying decision.
- Price a replacement hose and common wear parts
- Check storage dimensions with fittings attached
- Protect the unit from freezing and secure it for travel
Compare the workable approaches
| Approach | Best for | Check before buying | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact electric | Lean setups and customer utilities | Actual input watts, cable guidance and fittings | Depends on a suitable outlet |
| Professional electric | Regular work and fixed locations | Flow demand, duty cycle and motor start-up | Higher electrical demand and weight |
| Engine-driven | Independent high-throughput work | Ventilation, noise, fuel and safe transport | More maintenance and unsuitable for enclosed operation |
